With breathtaking views of Mt. Rainier and Commencement Bay...ladies, you will love this course! The course highlights the natural beauty of Tacoma's location on the shores of Puget Sound. Beginning in historic Downtown Tacoma, the scenic rolling course takes the ladies through Wright Park and along the shores of Commencement Bay, finishing at Dock Street Landing. This USATF certified course has been designed with you ladies in mind. One loop and two out-and-backs will provide plenty of opportunity to cheer on and support each other in that You Go Girl! kind of spirit!

  The Half Marathon and 10K races start in the same location and finish in the same location.
 
  • Start location: 9th and Market in Downtown Tacoma (google map)

  There is a 4 hour time limit for runners and walkers.  After 4 hours the course will be opened to traffic.  Those unable to finish in 4 hours will have to move to the sidewalk and obey all pedestrian laws.  The finish line crew will remain at the finish until the last participant has come in.
   
  Course note: Tacoma light rail will be crossing the course at 13th and Commerce (approx. mile 4.9) at 9:55 AM. Those of you running an 11:13 pace or slower, might be affected. Participants will be stopped momentarily for the train car to pass. So beat the train, ladies!
   
  The course has the following:
 
  • Water stations approximately every 2 miles. See the fun water stations in store for you on the volunteer page!
  • Each water station will also offer electrolyte replacement drink
  • Porta potties will be available at each water station as well as at the start and finish
  • Electrolyte gel will be provided at approximately mile 7.3.
  • A medical tent will be located at the finish and an EMT will be posted at each water station.
